About Karen Thaemert
For as long as I can remember, I've been snapping pictures! I think it started with a family vacation back in my childhood. I can credit my love for the camera to my dad, an accomplished photographer. He has passed his hobby onto me!
My hobby turned into a business quite naturally as more and more friends and family members asked for my services and expertise.
It is my pleasure to spend time with you and your family for a special one-of-a-kind portrait session. I specialize in infant and children's photography. The "Baby Steps" 1st Year Baby Plan is extremely popular. My experiences as a mom and teacher help to create a fun, relaxed atmosphere. It's definitely "kid friendly" in my home-studio!
High School Senior sessions come in near the top of favorite sessions! It's nice to take a break from toddlers and babies and get outdoors with the "big kids". We are always looking for school representatives! If we don't have anyone from you're school, we'd love to have you as a rep.
I also have extensive experience in make-up and can offer tips and tricks for specialized glamour. I've attended confrences with acclaimed make-up artists such as Robert Jones, and other professionals and can give you sound advice for your own needs.
My other hobbies include scrapbooking and computers! Both have also played a role in specializing my photography services. I use these skills to create unique photo cards and other similar creations. I am also able to discretely touch up minor skin imperfections and alter photos by tinting, colorizing, converting to black-and-white and much more!
I am proud to be a local photographer for the American Child Photographer's Charity Guild. The ACPCG's mission is to provide families of desperately ill children complimentary portrait sessions. If you find yourself in this position or know of someone who can benefit from such a service, please direct them to the ACPCG website.
I look forward to serving you as your personal photographer and designer!
