Such a Sweet 3-Month Old {Baby Photographer, St. Charles}

Some babies are just sweet little gems! This little girl took some coaxing to get her to interact with us, but when she was happy, she showed it. Some of her poses were very "serious" and that's cute too. Fussy - not too much, except at the end when we had worn her out.

She looked GREAT on the foam incline (1st pose). I love it when a baby is strong and can really get their upper bodies off the blanket. It was almost like she was striking a pose for us. LOL

Doesn't hers and her mom's complexions look great with the purple background? I love it with the dark hair. Beautiful!

Diana & Bryan {Maternity photography in St. Charles, MO}

We're anxiously awaiting the arrival of this new baby BOY!! It was wonderful to meet Diana and Bryan. We had a wonderful session and great conversation. I love it when we find so many things we have in common!

This family has joined in our yearly Celebration of Mother & Baby. After he arrives and comes to his first portrait session, I will have two lovely gifts for them. One is for his bedroom door and one is for mom to wear (a necklace from RhinestoneBaby.com)

Blog Changes

I've just recently noticed the warning on my blog account log-in page. Apparently, they will soon be changing the way my blog uploads, and hosts. Since I actually host my blog on my own website, I believe that I will NOT be able to maintain this blog as I have in the past.

Please note that there will soon be changes. I am sorry if any images or links stop showing/working. I will work as diligently as I can to keep everything in working order.

If you notice anything (besides that darn RSS feed) that doesn't work, please let me know!

A Pleasure to Photograph {Baby Photographer, St. Charles, MO}

Her mom said it best, "This was the easiest photo session". It really was. She was happy to be here and spent the entire time smiling at us (well except for those moments when she was checking her balance).

Oh and who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks? I learned a few new things myself. She liked to cock her head, so I went along with it and shot from a different angle! Hey, I like learning new things. (snicker)

Fun 6 Month Old {St. Charles, Baby and Children's Photographer}

This is the first meeting I've had with this little girl. She'll be back for a 6, 9, 12 month baby plan, so I get to watch her grow! I can tell that she'll give her parents a run for their money as soon as crawling and walking starts. I can tell that she's already "on the go". LOL

I get to show off my new "antique" baby carriage - oh I have such plans for this prop! Isn't it terrific? I bought it in a little shop on our historic Main Street. She always gets such cute things in her store!

I love the pose in the stripe shirt (no overalls). She's pushed herself up so high that it made the cutest poses!

3 Months and Bubbly! {St. Charles, Baby Photographer}

Some sessions are just plain fun! This little girl sure enjoys her mom and grandma. We didn't get many belly laughs, but quite a few smiles and lots of eye contact. (That's rare at a 3 month baby session). I really can't wait until the 6 month session. We're going to have some silly fun with this one!!!

Did you know that most of "my babies" are part of the "Baby Steps" first year plan? You Blog readers get to watch them grow along with me. At the end of the "Baby Steps" program, I put together a framed collage with one image from each portrait session. Looking at the progression of change is simply amazing. 3 Days old! {Newborn Photographer - St. Charles, MO}

Well, this isn't the first time you've met this baby. At our previous session, she was inside a beautiful round belly! I had fun awaiting her arrival. A healthy baby and a healthy delivery!

She was a little fussy, but still a wonderful little model. She was so comfortable in her daddy's arms and loved the hammock too! Dad, you did a great job - a natural!

I am privileged to be the one capturing the newness of babies and I love being able to give a lasting heirloom to parents and grandparents.

Hurry Baby... {Maternity Photography, St. Charles, MO}

Today I am sharing images from a recent maternity session. What great fun we had at this appointment. Both mom and dad were great to work with. I can tell they are both excited to be parents (although I did warn them to sleep now because it will soon be "over" for many years. LOL)

The little black top with the tie is one that I just finished making. I have a variety of sizes for a variety of women. My favorite thing about this style is that the belly shows and the arms are covered. I'm also in love with the material!

I have a few other new projects to unveil at future maternity sessions. For now, our beautiful model is showing off the little black top. I think she looked great in that gray sweater too. The stripes showed her basketball-belly perfectly! Doesn't she look beautiful? (Dad looks good too!)

Newborn Sweetheart {Newborn photographer, St. Charles}

I just love photographing brand new babies! They can be so quiet and sleepy. I love the way they curl up into a ball. Imagine being comfortable sleeping with your head on your feet! Only day's before, that's how the baby existed - curled up, SQUISHED up in a ball inside mommy.

I had a little fun with this baby girl. She kept making faces so I'd use the pacifier to reshape her little lips. It was rather comical. Mom & Dad were both great. Usually, I focus more on the daddy/baby poses at the newborn session since it's less common to have dad for the remaining sessions from the 1st year. She was so comfortable in her daddy's arms!

This is the perfect time to mention our new project: "Celebrate Mother & Child". From now until February 2011, we are celebrating expectant and new moms and their babies. Session fees are discounted and gifts abound! I even have some local businesses as support (more on that once it's finalized).

Another 1 Year Old {Children's Photographer, St. Charles}

I've really enjoyed meeting this very special little girl (not that other babies aren't special - smiles). This particular girl just has a wonderful story. She's growing into a very active, sweet little girl. Isn't her smile adorable?

It's fun to see her interact with her Daddy. She's definitely a Daddy's girl!!

We cut out some of the traditional 1-year poses so that we could have time for a family pose segment.

Photographing Babies during their first year and beyond

2010 Grad FHC {High School Senior Photographer, St. Charles}

Ahhh, Sometimes I'm reminded just how quickly the years fly by when a little girl (age 5) is now a high school senior and I'm taking her pictures! Courtney has grown into a beautiful young woman and I'm so proud to be a part of her senior year. It brings tears to my eyes and is so special that I was asked to photograph her! Thank you SO VERY much.

Well, I'm not good with the mushy stuff, so I'll share what we did and then share the photos!

We started out in my studio and then spent the afternoon on Main Street in St. Charles. It was such a gorgeous day for outdoor images! I used a fun, wide-angle lens for her car shots. Don't you just love, love, love the yellow? :)
